Hi,

I'm using the Electronics theme (Nop v2.6) and the Nop Anywhere Sliders plugin has been installed. But when I try to configure the slider(in Admin -> Plugins -> Nop Anywhere Sliders -> Manage Sliders), I get the following error when I hit the 'Save' or 'Save and Continue' button:

Error during serialization or deserialization using the JSON JavaScriptSerializer. The length of the string exceeds the value set on the maxJsonLength property.

Could you please help me configure the sliders? Even info about which tables to update in the database will be highly appreciated.

Kind Regards,
Amita

Hi amita,

Try to create new slider again and when you get the error, go to your log and see what error is the last error in it. Please post the error to here, so that we can fix your problem. Also you can send us an email on support(at)nop-templates.com with your website and administration credentials.

Best regards.

Hi framedigital,

I am sorry but I misunderstood your question. The problem that I am referring to is that there were a problem with the featured products on a category page. The featured products were disappearing when a filtration were made.

We will look into this problem and let you know if it is possible.

hi,

We bought Ajax Filter a few weeks ago and are very pleased with it.

However, we've noticed that if products are featured in a category, they are excluded from the filters. We are using the Specification filter only.

To replicate:

1. Edit a category, Catalog > Categories > Edit
2. Select the "Products" tab, and set some "Is Featured Product" to true
3. Reload category page
4. The featured products will now no longer be returned in the filtered list.

We're not sure if this is by design or a bug. There is an option in Nop that controls this behaviour and it looks as if Ajax Filters ignores it.

When catalogsettings.includefeaturedproductsinnormallists == true, then Nops default behaviour is that categories will display all products *and* featured ones, however in AjaxFilters will not include products that are featured.

Is there a setting within the plugin that resolves this?

Many thanks.

Hi framedigital,

Thank you for using our products and reporting this.
Actually we have noticed this behaveor and fixed it two weeks ago.
Please go to our website and download again the Ajax Filters package. Replace the ones that you are using and the problem will be fixed.

Best wishes.

Hi,

I want to change the names of the filters in the Ajax Filter plugin. For example: I want to change the name of the Designers filter into Brands.

I searched in the backend of the store in the plugin page for options to change the name, with no result.

After that I changed the name Designers to Brands in the resource.en-us file in Plugins/SevenSpikes.Nop.AjaxFilters/Resources. I cleared the store cache (& browser cache) and restarted the application, but had no effect.

Can someone tell me where I can change this?

Thanks!

Hi Alldes,

Go to the administration of your website Configuration=>Languages. Click the View string resources link for your language. After that click the filter button for the Value column. Set the Show rows with value that drop-down to Contains and in the text box below write Designers. Now edit all of the values by changing the Designers to Brands and you are ready.

Best regards.

Thanks for your suggestion Ivan, but now I have a more urgent problem.

I uninstalled the Mega Menu Plugin from the Admin area and now I can't get to my live website.

It gives this message:

"We're sorry, an internal error occurred that prevents the request to complete.

Our supporting staff has been notified with this error and will address this issue shortly. We profusely apologize for the inconvenience and for any damage this may cause. You might want to try the same action at later time."

I have no idea of how to get my website back.

Thanks,
Tony

Hi Tony,

Have you by any chance uninstalled the Core plugin before the Mega Menu plugin?

Ivan,

I'm sorry but the image I am using is not black.

The Mega Menu was black when I first installed it.  That is why I am trying to change it.

Thanks,
Tony

Hmm. That is very strange.
Are you sure that you are using the menu in nopClassic theme? Also have you renamed the theme? If you have renamed the theme, you will have to rename the theme folder in all of our plugin. For example in the Mega Menu, go to Plugins/SevenSpikes.Nop.Plugins.MegaMenu/Themes/ and change the nopClassic folder name to the name of your theme.

If this does not work. Try and download again the package from our website, delete the SevenSpikes.Nop.Plugins.MegaMenu folder and paste the one from the package on its place. By default the Mega Menu in the nopClassic theme should not be with black background.

Yes, I replaced this file with my own

\LatinJewelryDesigns\Presentation\Nop.Web\Plugins\SevenSpikes.Nop.Plugins.MegaMenu\Themes\nopClassic\Content\images\navpad1.png

and it still displays as a black background menu.

Thanks,
Tony

Well if the background is black, then you have accomplished your goal. Originally the background for the Mega Menu in the nopClassic theme is not black. See here: http://demos.nop-templates.com/

If you want to change the background of the drop down, you will have to change the header.png image.

Please check your image. I think that the problem is there.

Hi Tony,

Yes that is the correct folder.

Thanks Ivan.

How would I change the background color of the menu?

I tried changing the navpad1.png file and that did not work?

Thanks,
Tony

This is the correct file.
Try replacing it with a different file and keeping the name.
It works for me.

Try to configure the css file for theme.
The theme is styled to have a default nopCommerce menu in it and when you remove it, you are also removing css classes, so the style changes.

Best wishes!

Hello Ivan.

I came here from your suggestion to my question in the nop Classic Theme forum.

Everything that I learned here works fine.

I'm not sure of how to style the Mega Menu.  Is it the style.css file in the Presentation\Nop.Web\Plugins\SevenSpikes.Nop.Plugins.MegaMenu\Themes\nopClassic\Contentfolder?

Thanks,
Tony

Hi Tony,

Yes that is the correct folder.

Greetings,

I am unable to use gift cards with the jewelry theme as when I try to add them to the card they say please enter name and email address for recipient but there are no fields displayed in which to enter this information. Please let me know what you find.

Thanks,
Scott

Hi Scott,

When you click the Add to cart button on a category page, a popup should appear that contains the Recipient's Name and Recipient's Email fields see this link for demo: http://demos.nop-templates.com/c/18/gift-cards

If you are no a product page(you have clicked on a gift card) and you click on the Add to cart button, without populating the Recipient's Name and Recipient's Email fields a notification popup will appear. The popup does not contain the fields. The fields are located under the Nop Quick Tabs, a little down the page. You may have gotten confused by the location of the Add to cart button, because in the DarkOrange theme it is located after the fields http://demos.nop-templates.com/p/1/5-virtual-gift-card

Anyways there should be no problem with your gift card.
