All of our products are depending on the Core plugin so they would not work without the Core.

You can't uninstall the Core plugin without uninstalling the other plugins first.

If you uninstall any plugin and then install it is not necessary to follow the order again.

What is the version of nopCommerce 3.8 that you are using?

The first 3.8 was released with a critical performance issue so at 22 August they have released a new fixed version.

If you are using the "old" version it is not compatible with our products version 21801 or higher.

This widget zone is only in the Pavilion theme. So in order to use it, you should set Pavilion as Default store theme in Configuration -> Settings -> General settings.
