New Charity Give Change Make Change Plugin for nopCommerce 2.65!

We are extremely glad to announce the release of our newest nopCommerce charity plugin Nop Give Change Make Change.

The plugin has been developed in collaboration with So Design, who were so kind to be the liaison between our world class nopCommerce development team and the Give Change Make Change organization.

What is Give Change Make Change?

Give Change Make Change is an UK charity organization and a new way to donate your change while you shop online. It is a virtual collection tin, where money are collected and split between different UK charities, making a change for the better to people, animals and the environment.

How it works?

When shopping online with the Give Change Make Change retailers customers are given the opportunity before checkout to round up their purchase to the nearest pound or whatever currency the nopCommerce eshop is using. Customers can also donate a custom amount to charity. After they complete their purchase the donated change is split between four well known UK charities:

• British Red Cross – part of a global voluntary network helping people in crisis, whoever and wherever they are.
• Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity – one of the world’s leading children’s hospitals with the broadest range of dedicated children’s healthcare specialists under one roof in the UK.
• WWF – one of the world’s largest and most respected independent conservation organizations.
• Cancer Research UK – the world’s leading charity dedicated to beating cancer through research.

How the Nop Give Change Make Change nopCommerce plugin works?

Nop Give Change Make Change integrates the checkout process in nopCommerce with the Give Change Make Change system. When you install and enable Nop Give Change Make Change a Give Change Make Change box is added to the nopCommerce shopping cart page, which allows customers to roundup their purchase to the nearest pound or whatever currency the nopCommerce eshop is using. Customers can also donate a custom amount to charity. Once the customer chooses to donate to charity the donated amount is added as a Give Change Make Change product to their shopping cart. When the order is complete the donation is recorded in the nopCommerce database and a notification is send to the Give Change Make Change system informing them of all the details of the donation. NopCommerce retailers can view all their donations on the report page of the Nop Give Change Make Change plugin.

Who can use the Nop Give Change Make Change nopCommerce plugin?

As Nop Give Change Make Change is an UK based charity organization the plugin could be used only by UK based nopCommerce retailers. Please note that it is the Give Change Make Change policy to screen all retailers before they are accepted to use the Give Change Make Change system. Therefore all downloads of the Nop Give Change Make Change plugin will be manually approved by our Nop-Templates.com administrators upon approval from the Nop Give Change Make Change organization.
