Nop Give Change Make Change is a nopCommerce plugin, which integrates the checkout process of nopCommerce with the Give Change Make Change charity system. It is a hassle free process, which allows nopCommerce customers to donate small amounts to charity.
What is Give Change Make Change?
Give Change Make Change is a new way of easily and conveniently donating to charity. When shopping online with a nopCommerce partner retailers, you simply click the box at checkout to round-up your purchase price to the nearest pound.
This spare change is then split evenly between the four charity partners:
- British Red Cross – part of a global voluntary network helping people in crisis, whoever and wherever they are.
- Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity – one of the world’s leading children’s hospitals with the broadest range of dedicated children’s healthcare specialists under one roof in the UK.
- WWF – one of the world’s largest and most respected independent conservation organizations.
- Cancer Research UK – the world’s leading charity dedicated to beating cancer through research.
We like to think of it as a virtual collection tin.
Our aim is that it becomes second nature for people to ’give change’ on their shopping, as it has for recycling, because if we all do it, our small pennies will add up to help make big changes to this planet of ours.

How does Nop Give Change Make Change work?
The Nop Give Change Make Change plugin for nopCommerce integrates the GCMC donation process into the nopCommerce shopping cart system. The plugin adds a special Donation Box to the Shopping Cart page of your nopCommerce e-shop, which customers can use to donate a round-up amount of change or a custom amount of money to the Give Change Make Change charities. Once a customer donates money to the charity a Give Change Make Change product is added to their shopping cart. When the order is placed the donation is recorded by the Nop Give Change Make Change plugin. Once the order is paid the Nop Give Change Make Change plugin will send a notification to the GCMC system with information about the merchant id and the donation amount. Information about donations made by customers can be viewed in the administration panel of the Nop Give Change Make Change plugin as well as in the private merchant account profile in the GCMC system.

Who can use the Nop Give Change Make Change nopCommerce plugin?
As Give Change Make Change is an UK based charity organization the plugin could be used only by UK based nopCommerce retailers. Please note that it is the Give Change Make Change policy to screen all retailers before they are accepted to use the Give Change Make Change system. Therefore all downloads of the Nop Give Change Make Change plugin will be manually approved by our Nop-Templates.com administrators upon approval from the Nop Give Change Make Change organization.
