Restricting menues based on customer role

I have created one role called "ENTERPRISE". I have assigned this role to one customer. When I assigned a new role, it is showing "ENTERPRISE", "REGISTERED". It will not allow removing REGISTERED from the customer role. I have restricted some menus to "ENTERPRISE", Not for REGISTERED.  But still, those menus are appearing in ENTERPRISE customer role.
Please suggest.
