Image Size in Sliders and Carousel

Hi : Please answer following queries :

1. What should be the correct image size/dimension for sliders - width x height ?

2. What should be the correct image size/dimension for Carousels - width x height ?

3. Is there any place to configure the image dimensions ?

4. Does system redimension the image on its own in case configured image size is different than uploaded one ?

Please help as we need to decide what image size we should use for banners, products, categories and manufacturers ?

You can refer to our demo store for the recommended image sizes.
When you install the theme with the plugins the JCarousel already has the recommended default settings fro the images for the Shop All theme.
But it is really a personal preference what size of images to add.
Please note that the new version of the Nivo slider is responsive and we have removed the size of the images, so that the slider gets the dimensions of its container. For example if you add an image on the Home page then it will be stretched to match the width of the main column.
What is important to upload images with the same size i.e if Image1.jpg has aspect ration 2:1 then if you upload another Image2.jpg it should also has the same aspect ratio.
It would be best if you images have the same size as the container where you intend to place them.
