Hi,

When I said in your ticket "you can suggest this feature in our user voice portal", I meant this, so other customers can vote for it.

Ok thanks, I voted on a similar request I found in there.

Hi,

It would be nice if there was also a contact us form on the store pages. It'd also be convenient to have the ability of enabling/disabling whether it will display in the mega menu from the plugin settings rather than from the widget options.

Hi shanexh,

You need to copy the Core and JCarousel folders. Also you need to update the view of the JCarousel, because we made some modifications for better performance and more readable code. The JCarousel contains only one view so it will not be hard, even if you have changed it.

After you update the plugins you can change the Global.asax file. Just download it from your website, add a space after the code, save it and upload it again.
I will be waiting for your update on this problem.

Best wishes.

I just tried this, and I also used the the new views. The only folder I used from the previous release is my modified themes folder. I copied the contents of the new core folder as well. After that I added a space to the global asax and restarted the website in IIS.

Still getting errors, this time right when I go to the home page.

Shane

I tried copying the newer resource files over. The only folders I didn't upgrade was Themes and Views.

First Try:

1. I turned off the website in IIS.
2. backed up my database and files.
3. copied the new files to the plugin directory.
4. Restarted my website in IIS.

Result:

errors on pages with jCarousel and errors on the plugin page.

Second Try:

1. uninstalled the plugin.
1. I turned off the website in IIS.
3. copied the new files to the plugin directory.
4. Restarted my website in IIS.

Same result.

I restored everything to what I had previously, but I must be missing a step or something.

Great!

I have made styling modifications to the themes, also I do have several jCarousels already configured.

Can I copy everything except the themes folder, without uninstalling the plugin and re-configuring my jCarousels?

Thanks,

Shane

Would you be able to add contained categories as a data source for the jCarousel plugin?

I noticed you do have sibling categories as an option, but it would also be great to have child categories as an option.

if you want to see an example of were this would be useful to have, especially in conjunction with the mega menu, let me know and I'll send you a link to a page on my website.

PS your new website looks really good!

Hello,
Hi Shane,

Changing the value for the setting in the Settings.txt file will not work because of two reasons. The first is that the values in the Settings.txt file is used only during the installation of the plugin and the second is that the value of the manufacturers menu item is a resource not a setting. The setting is used only for certain default values, or when the resource is missing.

Anyways, changing the value for the manufacturers menu in the settings page of the plugins should work. Try to change it again, save the change and clear the cache of your nopCommerce store. The Clear cache link is located in the upper right corner in the administration.

If this does not work you can change the resource value manually. Go to Configuration => Languages => View string resources (for each language) => find the sevenspikes.megamenu.admin.settings.manufacturersitemnamevalue resource and change its value.

Have a nice day!

Thanks,

I tried the first solution a couple times still no change. I changed the resource value manually like you said and that worked.

Hello,

When I include manufacturers in the Mega Menu it doesn't change the title of this menu when I edit it in the manufacturers menu settings. It won't change it even when I try to edit the value in settings.xml directly.

a solution to this would be appreciated. Otherwise I will work around it manually.

Regards,

Shane.

Hello shanexh,

We have sent you an email, asking for screenshots and/or acces to your server, in order to investigate the problem.
We are still waiting for an answer.

Have a great day!

I have replied to your email with all the info you should need. I would have earlier, but it went to my junk mail (I added your support account to my contacts so it won't happen again).

Hello,

I have incorporated the Mega Menu into my company's website, the website is in development on a test domain to a specific port (example.com:8080). The mega menu seems to work great, except after several hours time the category images within the menu system disappear and show the browsers default symbol for a broken image link.

I have IIS and SQL pretty well set at defaults with the exception of a couple things. Notably I do not have any compression or caching settings on that I am aware of that would interfere with this.

I also have images of this happening to the menu system in Firefox and Google chrome if your interested in seeing those. If you need access to my domain/ web root and server to assess this bug please let me know via email.
