Is Aviator even worth playing, or is it just hype?

I keep seeing all this hype about that Aviator game. Seems like every other ad I see is pushing it. But is it actually any good, or just another flash-in-the-pan type game designed to grab attention, but not designed for fun? Has anyone actually played it and consistently enjoyed it? I'm always skeptical of things that are super popular right out of the gate. Let me know what your hot takes are.

Hype can definitely be misleading, so it's good to be skeptical. That being said, a friend told me the Aviator game is worth at least a try. I only know that because I was looking up more about it.
