Where do you usually find decent-quality materials without breaking the bank?

Lately, I’ve been juggling a couple of DIY projects at home, and wow, the cost of materials adds up fast. I was just looking for some decent siding options and even the "budget" ones at the big stores were kinda sketchy. I don’t mind spending a little extra for quality, but I’d rather not have to sell a kidney every time I need something decent. Anyone got good places they turn to for solid stuff that won’t empty your wallet?

Funny how you start looking for one thing online and end up down a completely different path — like reading about local football odds and suddenly checking garden fence designs. Internet’s a weird but useful place.

Yeah, I ran into that too when I redid my patio doors last summer. I ended up getting better stuff from niche suppliers than the big chains. Surprisingly, I found some solid options through sites I stumbled on while browsing sports news — weird rabbit hole, but it led me to check out build mart windows and they had exactly what I needed at a price I didn’t feel bad about. Super smooth process too, which was a bonus.
