Since I've recently become interested in the effects of topical adapalene on the skin, I'd like to know how much of a difference it can make for fine lines and wrinkles. In particular, I am wondering how this product may work on the forehead and around the eyes because most information available is limited to acne.

Adapalene is a retinoid which is usually prescribed for treating acne. This ingredient is also reported to help with improving fine wrinkles and pigmentation with prolonged use. The effects were proven in a study among 58 women where adapalene 0.1% cream improved wrinkles and skin pigmentation after six months; however, more research is required in order to understand its efficacy in different patients.

It is important to understand that before-and-after pictures may differ significantly. While some people could see changes in skin appearance after several months of treatment, other users could see no visible difference at all. Possible side effects include dryness, redness, peeling, and stinging which is most likely to happen within the first weeks of usage.

In case adapalene is chosen for treating fine wrinkles, a moisturizer and broad-spectrum sunscreen are.
