The menu is ranked as follows:
level 1 (the parent category) - level 2 (subcategory 1) - level 3 (subcategory 2)

How to make an adjustment that would be starting to look at subcategory 1?

Are you talking about the Mega Menu plugin or the Ajax Filters?
