We are very excited about the new version of nopCommerce 2.5. Not only because it will be an improved and optimized version but also because our products for it will come with some great new features.
Last month we created our UserVoice portal that allows you to take part in shaping our products. There are a lot of great ideas from you guys for which we would like to thank you. We listened to your voice and we took some of the most wanted features and will implement them for nopCommerce 2.5
Let's start with the Nop Anywhere Sliders plugin.
One of the most requested features from our clients is to add some new slider types. So here it is - a new Nivo slider type will be available for nopCommerce 2.5 version of the plugin. It comes with 16 effects as well as many options available from the administration. The slider will support themes, so you can completely change the look of each slider in your store. But that is not all. Another much requested feature is to have the ability to add different sliders for different categories. With Nop Anywhere Sliders for nopCommerce 2.5 you can add a Slider to a given category or to several categories.
The Nop Qucik Tabs for nopCommerce 2.5 will allow you to add reviews directly inside the Reviews tab itself. There is no need to navigate away from the product page. This feature will also be available out of the box in the Fashion theme for nopCommerce 2.5 as it has the Nop Quick Tabs integrated in it. One more thing about the Tabs is that they will be integrated in the Electronics theme for nopCommerce 2.5. You will have the option to switch to product page with tabs or without tabs depending on your preferences and needs.
There are a lot of bug fixes and small improvements. To name a few like the theme and discounts support for the Nop Ajax Filters and the ability to enable\disable the Category navigation in the Electronics theme.
We have some other great stuff coming in but will keep that for a later post when nopCommerce 2.5 is officially released.
