JCarousel - PLUGIN settings

  1. JCarousel item min width - Set the minimum width of the JCarousel item.

 

Working with Nop JCarousel information. General information on how to setup your carousels.

Creating a carousel

You can create as many carousels as you want and add each to a place where appropriate. You can have more than one carousel on a page and each one of them will work independant from the other.
In order to create a new carousel go to Plugins -> Nop JCarousel -> Manage JCarousels. Click on the Add new JCarousel button.

creating a Carousel - General settings

  1. Name - The unique name of the current JCarousel.
  2. Title - The title of the current JCarousel. If the Show title setting is enabled, the title will be displayed right before the JCarousel.
  3. Show title - If you enable this setting, the title of the JCarousel will be shown.
  4. Data source type - From the drop-down, you can specify a predefined data source type, to populate the JCarousel with. You can choose from a wide range of data source types (products, manufacturers and categories)
  5. Maximum number of items - The maximum number of items, that will contain the JCarousel.
  6. Number of visible items in the JCarousel - Specify the number of visible items at a time, that are going to be shown in the JCarousel. The number depends on the widget zone, in which the JCarousel is going to be shown. The wider the JCarousel is the more items it can contain.

creating a Carousel - Advanced settings

  1. Item start index - The index of the item, from which the JCarousel will start.
  2. Number of items to scroll by - The number of items that will be scrolled, then you click the previous/next arrows or by the Autoscroll (if enabled).
  3. Autoscroll the content after (seconds) - Specifies after how many seconds to periodically autoscroll the content. If set to 0, autoscrolling is turned off.
  4. Rotate the JCarousel to vertical position - If you check this setting the JCarousel will be rotated in vertical positon. This setting is used when you want to add a JCarousel to the left or right columns.
  5. Wrap items - Specifies whether and how to wrap the items after scrolling to the last one.
  6. The speed of the scroll animation - Specify the speed of the scroll animation.
  7. Easing effect - Specify the easing effect that will be applyed to the JCarousel when it is scrolled.
  8. Image size (pixels) - Specify the image size of the pictures that are displayed in the JCarousel.
  9. Show item name - If enabled the names of the products will be shown in the JCarousel.
  10. Show product price - If enabled the product price will be shown in the JCarousel.
  11. Show product old price - If enabled the old price of the product will be shown in the JCarousel.
  12. Show short descripton - If enabled the short description will be shown in the JCarousel.
  13. Show details button - If enabled the details button will be shown in the JCarousel.

Add the carousel to a widget zone

From the Widget Zones you could choose the locations in which you want your carousel to appear in your public store.

If you want to add the carousel to widget zones click the Add New Record button and from the drop-down select your desired widget zone.

add additional products

In order to add additional products to be displayed in the JCarousel, you need to select a product Data Source Type or select the None type. The product Data Source Types are:

  1. Home Page Featured Products
  2. Best Sellers Products
  3. Recently Added Products
  4. Marked As New Products
  5. Recently Viewed Products
  6. Related Products
  7. Also Purchased Products
  8. Products From The Same Category
  9. Category Featured Products
  10. Manufacturer Featured Products

If you select a product data source and after that add additional product, the product that you have selected will be added after the ones from the Data Source. If you select the None data source, only the products that you have selected will be shown in the JCarousel.

To add a new product click on the "Add a new product" button.

add additional CAtegories

In order to add additional categories to be displayed in the JCarousel, you need to select a category Data Source Type or select the None type. The category Data Source Types are:

  1. Home Page Categories
  2. Sub Categories
  3. Sibling Categories

If you select a category data source and after that add additional categories, the category that you have selected will be added after the ones from the Data Source. If you select the None data source, only the categories that you have selected will be shown in the JCarousel.

To add a new category click on the "Add a new record" button.

add additional manufacturers

In order to add additional manufacturers to be displayed in the JCarousel, you need to select a maufacturer Data Source Type or select the None type. The maufacturer Data Source Types are:

  1. Manufacturers

If you select a maufacturer data source and after that add additional maufacturers, the maufacturers that you have selected will be added after the ones from the Data Source. If you select the None data source, only the maufacturer that you have selected will be shown in the JCarousel.

To add a new category click on the "Add a new record" button.
